Corrected Poster Information
posted Oct 6, 2011, 2:42 PM by George GarciaIn preparing posters, please include a PHOTO of the presenting author, 4 in. x 4 in. (= 10 cm x 10 cm) in a top corner, so that people admiring your poster can find you in the crowd. This is optional.
Poster board sizes are 4'x8', but we will be having two posters per board. However, we will be having the posters on both sides of the boards, so the poster size can be up to 4'x8' We recommend 4'x6'.
To minimize confusion, poster boards will be numbered (alphabetically by presenting author's last name). Please mount your poster at the number/location assigned in the abstract booklet, and the number will already be attached to the poster board.
POSTERS can be mounted on boards during the lunch break.
Registration Closed and Program Posted
posted Oct 4, 2011, 10:43 PM by George GarciaIn order to have time to prepare the Program Book, registration is now closed for the 31st MECC. I would like to thank all who volunteered to give an oral presentation. Unfortunately time does not allow us to hear all the great science that could be presented orally. The program, with all speakers and session chairs confirmed is now posted. If you have ordered a box lunch, don't forget to send in your payment (see registration page for details).
See you in Chicago next week.

Cost/Funding
posted Jul 11, 2011, 11:38 AM by George GarciaIn order to keep the MECC accessible to as many as possible and in particular graduate students and post-docs, we do not charge a registration fee (although there is generally a fee for lunch). By taking advantage of low- or no-cost venues at the host academic institutions, our costs generally involve logistical support (website, posters, program booklets, etc.), coffee breaks, and a reception during the poster session. We, therefore, depend on the generosity of individuals, companies, and professional organizations for financial support. Through the efforts of last year’s Program Chair, Professor Anne-Frances Miller, the MECC is now registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization under the name “Friends of the Midwest Enzyme Chemistry Conference, Inc.”. Therefore, donations to the MECC are tax deductible. If you wish to help support the MECC, please contact:
